Biblical Misunderstanings

Most Christians don’t know the Bible, and they often surround their beliefs around a handful of verses. Of those verses, there are two in particular that people quote the most: John 3:16 & Romans 10:9. Both of these verses are true, but let’s take a look at them and understand correctly. As a Christian, it is a given that we must believe that Jesus Christ came to the earth to save sinners. People are taught “Just Believe” based on these two verses, and use it as justification for living their lives however they wish. They say, “Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. I believe it. I’m saved.” Do you believe that? Are other verses in the Bible not taken into account because of these two verses? Are all the commands that Christ gave us no longer relevant? Those who truly believe in Christ will obey his teachings. (John 14:15). Sabbath and Passover are the teachings of Christ. If we keep them, we show that we believe in our hearts that Christ is Lord, and can truly confess with our mouth our savior. Sunday worship, communion, prayer before statues, cross reverence, etc. are not the teachings of Christ. If we fail to follow the way of Christ, can we really say that we believe in him? If we don’t obey all the commands that Christ gave us for our salvation, we can not call ourselves the “saved.” The Church of God World Mission Society keeps the commands of Christ. We are able to say we are saved because we know God, and have come to him in the last days. Christ Ahnsahnghong is our Lord and Savior, whoever confesses with their mouth and believes in their heart he is God will have eternal life.
