God’s Prophets Tell the Truth, not What You Want to Hear – Jerusalem Mother

Around the year 625 BC there was a prophet of God named Jeremiah who prophesied that the Israelite people would be handed over to the King of Babylon. He explained to them that if they served the King of Babylon, then they would be able to return back to there land. He also said that if anyone would not serve Babylon, then they would be punished by God. Jeremiah also warned them not to listen to any prophets that said otherwise. (Jeremiah 27) Don’t you think that it is difficult to hear words like that from a prophet of your God? It was so difficult, and Jeremiah received great persecution because of it. So what did some of the people do? They disobeyed and listened to the false prophet Hananiah who told them what they wanted to hear. (Jeremiah 28). What was the result? Judah was destroyed and so all of Israel. Thousands were taken captive, and an even amount more were put to the sword. (2 Chronicles 36:15-21). What is this important? Even though it was difficult to hear at the time, those who listened to the true prophet were able to live in the end and were restored to their land. (Ezra 1). Those who listened to the false prophet were destroyed. Now is the time for us to listen to the prophets God has sent in these last days. God is saving the world before all of the great disasters come upon the world. Already we can see that there is very little time. God’s last message is that we should receive salvation from the Spirit and the Bride in order to live and enter the promised land of heaven. (Revelation 22:17). Even though it may be difficult, we must follow the ones who speak the truth in Christ.
